The rate of Capital Gains Tax (CGT) increased by 10% for higher rate taxpayers in the latest budget. It went up to 28 per cent from its previous rate of 18 per cent.
The new government took a sensible approach on the issue and did not impose a new upper rate of 50 per cent, as many but-to-let landlords and second home owners had feared.

Bordeaux
What a beautiful city!
The properties are well looked after and there are so many bars and cafe's etc to go to.
The pace of life not rushed at all, where people are taking time out to sit down and enjoy the moment.
There seem to be a lot happening (concerts, festivals, etc).
A place to certainly visit; if not invest in real estate.

Armenian Hoax, Get it right!

No one has the right and power of discretion of disregarding the sovereignty rights of a nation and dictating that a government can not exercise the rights of the security of the life and property of the citizens!

Election debate
Surprisingly Gordon Brown seems to be doing better compared to Nick Clegg and David Cameron.
He keeps successfully picking on David Cameron and trying to align himself to closer to Nick Clegg.
It started off nicely nicely but they are getting into their stride now.

11-a-side again
I managed to play a game of 11-a-side almost exactly 6 months after the Achilles complete rupture last night.
The mind is still very fast but the body is not following the mind :) I suppose the extra 10-12 pounds of weight around the belly does not help.

Property market in Maidenhead
Even the talk of a double dip, slow recovery, low British Pound does not seem to be affecting the property in Maidenhead. The estate agents Maidenhead are reporting a very healthy recovery.
Maidenhead property market seems to be solid, and the lettings market is continuing to be strong as well.
