Firefox 2.0
The long awaited FF 2.0 browser is finally here. I've started using it today and the first impressions are very good. Especially the memory use seems to be more efficient but I need to carry out more tests to find out the boundaries.
The IE7 has also been released just a couple of days ago and I haven't heard many things about it.
The FF will continue gaining market share by the looks of it. Currently it has around 15% of the browser market.

Browser wars continue
According to BBC, the Internet Explorer browser will be automatically upgraded to 7.0 version. After 5 years of no real development from Microsoft, they've finally pulled their fingers out and decided to catch up with Firefox. Of course the main driver is the big market share loss to the Firefox.
IE is introducing all the cool features that I've been using for over a year now.
The twist in the tail is that FF is also going to release their 2.0 version, which should put them ahead again. I can't wait to see what new features they're introducing. Also, I keep my fingers crossed that they'll improve the efficiency of the memory usage.

FF search engine list modifications
The FF seems to keep the search plugins at the following location:
C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\searchplugins
All that is required is to edit the .src file for the search engine script that needs modification with "wordpad".
For example, I used this to change my Yahoo entry from yahoo.com to yahoo.co.uk.

Appleton Estates in the media
Appletons have received good media coverage on top of the weekly advertising in the local newspapers such as, Maidenhead Advertiser and Reading Chronicle. Now a selection can be found at the Appletons in press page.
King Cobra
King Cobra golf clubs are great.
The King Conra woods have been very kind to me. Since I've changed my driver, my driving has improved around 50 yards and they seem to be right in the middle of the fairway :) I even managed to outdrive some big hitters with my 3 wood.
Definitely recommend it to anyone.

YouTube
It is now an old story but it is still an amazing one. It goes to show that a niche idea is still invaluable; well valued around £800 million :)
I am glad to see that these guys made so much money. I only met YouTube about a year ago via word-of-mouth and have been using it. Their product was so good that they didn't even have to advertise, as far as I know. And, best of all it has been all Free!!!
This also goes to show the power of the internet that if there is something good on the internet, it does reach millions of people in no time.
The British singer (I can't remember the name, "I wish I was a punk rocker" one) was another great example.
Let's hope that we come up with a good idea like that one day too :)
