I have been meaning to write a posts ever since Liverpool beat Manchester United.
I watched the highlights and couldn't believe that I was watching Liverpool. For the first time in the last 12 years, I was watching an attacking team with all the players wanting to beat a very good team; even though they were 1-0 down within the first 5 minutes.
Then came the Marseilles game last night. It was a more subdued performance from Liverpool. Marseilles were outstanding though. I am sure everyone thought: "How did Liverpool manage to win that game?" or "How did Marseilles manage to lose that game?"
Liverpool was not playing well but they showed the maturity to clinch a win out of the game, which gives me a lot of hope.
Especially, the new lef winger Riera (or something like that) looked very positive. Also, Babel has looked very interested in the game over the last 2 matches although his defense is still way below par.
All in all a very bad start to the season but glimpses of hope.
