Kirsty's new adventure is to promote the free furniture.
I think it is a brilliantly well-timed programme; especially given the financial hardship that people are going through.
3 of the online sites that she keeps referring to are:
Freecycle
Freegle
Gumtree
But also, there are a number of other ideas as well.
Well done Kirsty...

Ashes
This Ashes series is probably the opportunity pull in a lot of new fans into the game of cricket. I do not usually follow cricket unless it is a special occasion, such as the Ashes or the World Championships but what a fantastic contest we have witnessed this week.
Top hustle from both England and the Australia cricket teams.
Everyone was touting a 5-0 English win but Aussie team put up an incredible fight, and almost clinched the first game.
But England have displayed an even better come back to claim the title.
I hope the remaining games in the series are as exciting as this one.

Letting Agents Sunningdale
Letting Agents Sunningdale
If you are a tenant looking for a property to rent in the
delightful Sunningdale area of Berkshire, you are recommended to contact the local
Letting Agents in Sunningdale. You can find their details either in the local
papers, by driving around in the area looking for their ‘To Let’ advertising
boards or by simply using the internet.
Once in contact with your chosen agent/s, they will ask you
many details regarding your circumstances, when you need to move, what
facilities you need to have close by and also the budget you have available to
spend. Letting Agents in Sunningdale
will have access to a wide portfolio of properties and will take the time to
match your requirements to suitable properties.
They will then find a convenient time to escort you to view the
property. During the viewing you will have time to ask questions about the
house, local area and to understand what is being left at the property. As some
properties will be occupied by other tenants, it is always advisable to check
which furnishings are being rented with the property and which ones are owned
by the current tenant, to avoid disappointment at a later stage!
After viewing as many suitable properties with the Letting
Agent in Sunningdale and you are happy with the area and local amenities/schools,
etc. you may be ready to make a decision on a particular property. Before
making an offer, it is a good idea to arrange a second viewing at a different
time of the day than you first viewed. A
good time of the day would be early evening or at the weekend. This will enable you to see the neighbours,
perhaps find out how noisy it is from children and how many cars are parked on
the street. If you have any questions
about the area, now would be a good time to chat with the neighbours and ask
their opinion.
Once you are happy that you have made the right decision on
your chosen property, contact the relevant Letting Agent in Sunningdale and
make your interest known. Let them know how much you are willing to offer, how
soon you can move in and the length of the tenancy you require. If there are any items that you need added to
the property or any maintenance that you feel needs addressing before you move
in, now is the time to mention it. Once
your offer has been accepted, you should receive a letter confirming this and
any additional requirements that have been agreed.
Once you have completed and passed a credit reference check
with the Letting Agent in Sunningdale, you will be expected to sign a tenancy
agreement and pay the final balance.
Upon completing this paperwork, you will normally attend a check-in with
an independent inventory clerk where meter readings will be taken and the house
will then be ready for you to move into.

Surrey swings back into action as developers start construction of new super homes
Article by Barton Wyatt Letting Agents Sunningdale
Bucking the trend of a relatively flat UK property market, Surrey based award-winning estate agent, Barton Wyatt is pleased to announce an impressive 116% increase in sales to date in 2011 compared to the same period last year.
And it is not just the sales department at Barton Wyatt in Virginia Water enjoying success this year - the rental division is also reporting an upturn in their figures.
James Wyatt, Partner of the family run estate agency Barton Wyatt, comments:
"Reviewing the year on year sales figures we can see that despite the enquiry level remaining almost identical to 2010 we have experienced a 116% increase in sales. The clients that are coming in to see us tend to be very serious about a purchase and are not simply viewing multi-million pound houses which they will never be able to afford.
"As well as the sales department, our lettings division, which experienced a slowdown in 2010 due to some of our corporate clients keeping their overseas employees at home, has seen uplift with many more houses being let this year compared to last."
In response to this demand, Virginia Water is seeing a return of the large, lavish modern homes being built off-plan by developers who sense that the local market is recovering. Millgate Homes is one such developer who is once again active in the area and who uses Barton Wyatt as an agent for their properties. David Wrigley, Head of Sales and Marketing, comments:
"As one of Surrey and Berkshire's leading developers, Millgate Homes is focused on seeking out the most desirable sites, optimising planning, designing with passion and building with integrity. At this level so many things are important to us and to the new owner - elevations/external materials/landscaping/location are all finalised prior to build. We pride ourselves on creating a specification that actually works for home owners - building it as if it were your own.
"We look for the same passion from our agents, such as Barton Wyatt. They are a highly respected local agent, they have the right connections and the very best area knowledge. For us they are the clear market leaders in the Wentworth area."
Millgate Homes is finding that in addition to asking prices rising, land prices in the area are going through the roof and are in agreement with the recent Knight Frank report which revealed that land prices in the Greater London area rose by 2.3% in Q2 2011.
James Wyatt explains what is happening in his area:
"Land prices vary from district to district. In Wentworth and Virginia Water we have seen the price of land increase at a phenomenal rate. We find that our postcodes tend to mirror those of Chelsea, Westminster, West End etc where land is at an absolute premium and developers know that they can make really good money by taking down the old and replacing with something new and sophisticated."
For more details on property for sale in Virginia Water or Sunningdale, please contact Barton Wyatt.

These made me chuckle
These are from a book called Disorder in the American Courts and are things people actually said in court, word for word, taken down and published by court reporters that had the torment of staying calm while the exchanges were taking place.
ATTORNEY: What was the first thing your husband said to you that morning?
WITNESS: He said, 'Where am I, Cathy?'
ATTORNEY: And why did that upset you?
WITNESS: My name is Susan!
__________________________ _____
ATTORNEY: What gear were you in at the moment of the impact?
WITNESS: Gucci sweats and Reeboks.
__________________________ __________________
ATTORNEY: Are you sexually active?

ATTORNEY: You forget? Can you give us an example of something you forgot?
__________________________ _________________
ATTORNEY: Now doctor, isn't it true that when a person dies in his sleep, he doesn't know about it until the next morning?
WITNESS: Did you actually pass the bar exam?
__________________________ __________
ATTORNEY: The youngest son, the 20-year-old, how old is he?

ATTORNEY: Doctor, before you performed the autopsy, did you check for a pulse?

ATTORNEY: Did you check for blood pressure?
WITNESS: No.
ATTORNEY: Did you check for breathing?
WITNESS: No..
ATTORNEY: So, then it is possible that the patient was alive when you began the autopsy?
WITNESS: No.
ATTORNEY: How can you be so sure, Doctor?

Surrey
Positioned in England’s South East corner, just outside of London, is Surrey. Historic villages and bustling towns surrounded by stunning scenery and rolling countryside. It is the perfect place for a day trip or a leisurely weekend break away. With an abundance of restaurants and pubs and an extensive variety of things to do and places to see, means that there will be something to suit all ages.
Walking and cycling around the quiet country lanes and bridleways is a delightful way to explore the stunning countryside and take in the spectacular views.
If you prefer to explore some of Surrey’s history, Loseley Park is a stately home situated just outside of Guildford, Surrey, near Compton. A historical home which has remained relatively unchanged since it was built in 1562 and is still the home of the More-Molyneux family.
Loseley Park, Surrey is a splendid place to visit to wander around the beautifully kept grounds and house, capturing the stunning views towards the North Downs. Loseley Park is also an extremely popular location, with films such as Sense and Sensibility being filmed there, and offers a welcoming and fascinating venue for civil weddings and corporate functions.
Also nestled in the Surrey Hills surrounded by breathtaking landscape is Dunsfold Park, just 9 miles South of Guildford and 40 miles from London. Dunsfold Park is home to Dunsfold Aerodrome, providing a range of aviation services from flight testing, maintenance and repairs, to apron parking and hangarage. Each year the aerodrome hosts its own ‘Wings and Wheels’ airshow, attracting over 32,000 spectators. It is also used as a film location due to it being an operational airfield and it having the only 747 in Europe accessible solely for filming.
Not only an airfield, but Dunsfold Park in Surrey is also a thriving business park offering units to small businesses right up to large warehouses. Over 100 companies are based here, including some large multi-national companies.

Office Fit Out
Office Fit Out
In this economic downturn, businesses can never be too really cautious with the office space planning. Here I would like to analyse all areas of office fit out process. but this is undeniably a big subject, ranging from commercial refitting to space appraisal. Thus, to keep the article brief, I have only analyzed the alternatives on offer to deal with the increased space requirements. I plan to cover the other aspects of office refurbishment in forthcoming ezines.
What options do you have when you run out of office space? Office Fit Out or Office relocation?
Firms generally need more room because of additional headcount or headcount and stock. Large proportion businesses are unable to afford expanding their offices. These businesses prefer to consider the current workspace audit as well as replanning. This option tend to be inexpensive. And, these businesses would defend that relocating isn't necessary. There are many methods of reaching desired results, such as better partitioning and moving walls.
Nevertheless if your company is part of the lucky few that can afford and your additional office needs are significant, then the new building appraisal is going to be a realistic alternative for your business. Relocation is the perfect opportunity to incorporate improvement to your firm.
The new building appraisal would have the following tasks:

The new building appraisal would have the following tasks:
- space audit: forecasting the space requirements in detail
- headcount audit: planning the office bound workforce
- new building appraisal: shortlisting potential office candidates for Regulatory Aspects and accessibility
In addition, whichever alternative your business choose, your business must think of a professional commercial refurbishment contractor. The commercial refurbishment contractor would project manage all aspects of the work as a single point of contact. This would allow your business
- to pass any hassle onto the contractors
- to make sure that every stage is on time, on budget and to a high standard of workmanship.
Do consider one of the best best office refurbishment contractors, what ever you do.

On-page items becoming more important
A recent change on Timber Sash Windows front page text has dropped it about 6-7 places in SERPs, which is the really amazing proof of how important these the on-page optimisation is.
Other examples of the design and the content impacting the SERPs are the VM visual merchandising and office fit out.
What's also interesting is Google's SERP excerpts pointing out which words it's picking up from the specific pages.
And dozens of new BLs don't seem to make up for the lack of on-site factors any more.

Youtube and Netflix vs Airplay
Following from my recent rants about the Google Music, and how strong Apple Airplay is, it is really encouraging to see that Youtube and Netflix decided to take on the challenge.
Yesterday, there is a really good post on the details and the technical specifications (uPnP, DLNA, etc etc) about this.
But as a user it is brilliant news that the key players are showing a key interest in making life easier for us all.
I firmly believe that the more competition there is the better tools and utilities we will get.

Google Play music sucks
I have never been so disappointed with the Google Music stuff recently. It's discussed as a serious alternative to Apple's iTunes but I don't think it is anywhere near good enough.
It does not easily snychronise across mobile devices as it requires a PC in the loop.
I would mark this as a 3 out of 10.
What also amazed me with Apple is the AirPlay function that I discovered through my Amp. And, how easily an iPhone seems to pick it up.
Yet, I had to spend a whole day trying to hook up my Android device to it so that I can play the music through the surround sound (bit like Sonos wireless utility).

Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close
With Tom Hanks and Sandra Bullock.
But the real star is the little actor named, Thomas Horn.
It is an incredibly well written story around 9/11 but actually it is an emotional one about a little boy trying to cope with his father's death.
I really loved the story even though it drags on at times about the kid's obsessive compulsive habits.
By the way, Max von Sydow is incredible in it as well.

By the way, Max von Sydow is incredible in it as well.

Samsung S2 incall volume adjustment
Try this, finf it else where, http://forum.vodafone.co.uk/t5/Samsung-Galaxy-S2/Samsung-Galaxy-S-2-headphone-call-volume-too-low/td-p/761245
I’ve investigated this issue, and it does seem to be a general one, found across all networks. The general fix is to access the service mode, and alter the default max volume for a headset call.
Here's what I've found on the internet (not tried yet! so do it at your own risk)
•Enter this number *#*#197328640#*#*
•This will open the service mode menu.
•Select option [5] AUDIO
•Select option [1] (VOICE CALL)
•Select option [2] HEADSET
•Select option [1] Volume
•Select option [1] SRC Speech RX Volume
•Select option [5] 5_lvl : 87
•Press the menu button (left side)
•Choose Key Input
•Enter a value between 0 and 100, with 100 the loudest setting.
•Press ok
•Then press the menu button and select back this will save (don't use the right side back key you normally use to navigate the phone or you will quit out of the settings).
•Keep selecting the menu and back until you exit the service mode menu.
You will also note you can change volume settings for other things like Bluetooth, handsets, video call etc.

FF InformEnter contender for Chrome
Can a little extension/add-on tie millions of browser users into sticking to 1 browser religiously over all others? The answer is absolutely. Just as the users of a little FF add-on with the name of InformEnter.
A lot of Firefox users will tell you that they will not switch from Firefox even though it does not feel as streamlined as Google’s Chrome, and InformEnter is one of the main reasons why.
I have been one of the few who made the jump. I won’t go into the details why. And, have been searching for a suitable alternative in the Chrome extension library without any luck.
Eventually I came across a Google discussion forum where a little extension called FormBox was proposed.
One contributor commented: “‘FormBox is the chrome equivalent of InFormEnter. Although it is not as efficient as InFormEnter but it does basic things.”
The creator of the extension acknowledged the inspiration from IFE as well.
I have tried it immediately, and was pleasantly surprised. Even though it has a number of optimisations to take care of, it automates most of the mundane stuff.
A big thumbs up from me.
If you’re interested search in the Chrome extension library, or click here: https://chrome.google.com/webstore/search-extensions/FormBox
